Home, More, and Gorgeous

It’s Saturday – for a little bit longer, anyway – and therefore time to look back at three beautiful things from the past week.

1. I had a nice time exploring Spokane, but coming home was even nicer.

2. Four. More. Years.

3. After a couple of weeks of unseasonably cold weather, today was gorgeous – and a perfect day to spend outside at a craft show with friends. Bonus: I found some really cute jewelry!

What’s been beautiful in your world this week?

    1. Theater. Cost of 1 child ticket for children’s theater (cheap seats): $33. Cost for whole family to attend college performance of “The Three Musketeers” (front row, multiple sword fights at some points inches from the kids): $31. Had an AWESOME time (more so once youngest realized the actors didn’t really die…ah innocence!)!
    2. Veteran’s Day celebration at school on Friday. Whole clan got to eat lunch together (at school)- only year this will ever be possible.
    3. Hot cocoa with friends…who knew 20 whole, uninterrupted minutes could be such a blessing?

    1. Making a slew of final purchases for the new house. We are a week away!! I’m so excited.
    2. Went to a “mothers of multiples” group resale and found the play mat we had for Little Man and James, as well as a similar activity bouncer. And though we have no need of them at present, here’s hoping at a bargain price. (never thought I’d miss the songs from the play mat but I did!)
    3. Date night. Chris got us tickets to Les Mis at Hobby Center. It is hands down the best show ever. It was fantastic!! (it may need a post of its own)

E: im not familiar with Hobby Center … was the Les Mis on stage or the new movie?

Hobby Center is the newest performing arts venue in Houston. It’s fantastic and the acoustics are awesome. We were in the upper balcony and there is not a bad seat in the house 🙂
