19 Hours

My phone tells me it’s only 10:09 here in Spokane, but my body – which has been moving for 19 hours now on about four hours of sleep – knows otherwise. “Tired” hardly does justice to how I am feeling right now, and I’ll be asleep as soon as I shut the light.

While I get some shut eye, discuss among yourselves… should I steal the leopard-print chaise from my hotel room:

Or the life-size gilded baby hippo from the foyer:

Why yes, there is something of a safari animals theme going on here. How did you notice?

Y.E.S. BOTH !!!! And, the pillow and zebra print 😏. You must be nuts about that hippo. It probably would spook Harper and Carlson though! What nice surroundings and, then, an Alaskan Amber — heaven… Enjoy!

I was too late in Spokane
So I caught a ride through the Cascade range
I saw the sun dying in Olympia
    running down on Capitol Lake

(As soon as I saw Spokane, I was immediately reminded of these song lyrics…hee)

And I put money down on you stealing that hippo….

When you posted the photo of the hippo previously, I *knew* you had to be thinking about stealing it.
