Hurricane Sandy hasn’t done much yet here in DC – other than close work, schools, and all mass transit tomorrow – but I’m feeling pretty ready. I’m keeping everything fully charged; I’ve got loads of water in my on-the-coldest-setting fridge; I set up a little staging area with flashlights, candles, matches, batteries, and towels; and my kittens are snuggle-ready. I’m not gonna be cocky and say “bring it,” because I’d like this to be a huge false alarm, but I do think I’m as prepared as I can be.

The part that fascinates me about Frankenstorm is the potential for snow. A hurricane with a “side” of snow – who knew?
Yeah that is pretty interesting. I read that they were predicting 1 billion in damage…who knows…
