I’ve once again let Saturday almost get away from me without posting my three beautiful things from the past week. With less than a half-hour to spare, here they are:
1. The south entrance to the Dupont Circle Metro station – closest to my office – re-opened after eight months of escalator replacement. This may not seem like a beautiful thing, but it shaves at least five minutes off my commute, and it’s also nice to be back to my regular routine. (Bonus beauty: the Cosi by the newly-reopened exit welcomed us back with free muffin coupons, so I had a chocolate muffin for breakfast twice this week.)
2. Springsteen show. Always a beautiful taking.
3. Today was as picture-perfect a fall day as anyone could want. I took great delight in kicking up leaves and breathing in that wonderful smell they make as I went about my errands.
What’s been beautiful in your life this week?
OK I never thought that Springsteen was that attractive but suddenly when they have the microphone in their hands and you’re “hearing” them sing (even in a picture) the magical “lead singer” gloss comes over my eyes! That was beautiful! That and getting caught up on homework and scratching the surface with housework.
1. Had a great laugh with my sister about Christmas. THANK YOU!
2. First snow…always exciting.
3. Took youngest out for ” coffee.” He beamed, made patrons smile, and was good.
