Elation, Candles, and Purrs

As another Saturday nears its end, it’s time to look back on three beautiful things from the past week:

1. Tuesday’s rain out disappointment turned into Thursday’s elation as sprite and I unexpectedly found ourselves at the Nationals’ playoff-clinching game.

2. One of my favorite people on earth had a birthday party today and looked happy as can be while he waited to blow out his six candles.

3. The kittens continue to be full of charm, cuteness, and purrs. It’s almost too much to take.

What’s been beautiful in your world this week?

I like the photos of your favorite things!

I got a fun text this week that made me smile: Picture this – 50-60 geese on the playground…_____ chasing them away…priceless! (this txt was from a recess para, and there were 200 kids on the playground at the time)

When I asked the middle child about this, the answers about why included because it was fun, they were in the way of where the girls wanted to play so I wanted to help them, I was the first one to finish the track and when they started to run it was towards the kids still running and they started to scream and that was funny, I thought I might get to pet one, and Mom I was just being a geese shepherd.

This reminded me about the beauty of just being a kid, because honestly my first thoughts were of goose poop and bites.

Yeah. Someone’s got to warn me when the birthday party comes before the actual birthday. Bad auntie.
