Jet Lag: 1, Me: 0

It’s been an odd couple of days since I got back from vacation. I’ve been dragging myself out of bed at what feels like 3:00 a.m. to get ready for work, spending much of the day in a haze, and then rallying at night, when my body thinks it’s late afternoon – which leads me to staying up too late, making morning, once again challenging. So today I am giving up and letting the jet lag win. I am going to bed in the hopes of getting some extra sleep and feeling like a normal person tomorrow.

Here’s a pretty flower picture I took in Fairbanks. It’ll have to do for blog content for today.

To me, it’s always been harder to switch going East than heading West. I thought somewhere along the line I heard it takes 1 day per time zone to recover?

Sequal: Went to bed after above comment (10:30). Gave up flip flopping at about 12:30! Read & played Scrabble until 2ish. Then slept the rest of the night until just about 7:30 — my “normal” get-up time!! You may well be right, Loon. This is Day #4 on the East coast 😊 Plus, this is Day #4 of HEAT re-entry. Our bodies are mixed up on that score too. Hate to rub it in, but we sure did not miss the triple-digit week everyone had. Going for normal today — I have porches to sweep & hose, checkbook to catch up, and a mound of mail to conquer. Coffee first, tho!
