Good Arm, Memories, and Sleep

I’m a day behind with this, but better late than never – right? Here are three beautiful things from the past week:

Bryce Harper's first home at-bat.

1. My friend Raj couldn’t use his $2 Nationals tickets on Tuesday night, so Rudi and I took them off his hands, on what turned out to be a perfect night for baseball (kind of a surprise, because it had been pretty cold). Though the Nats didn’t win, and Bryce Harper didn’t have an amazing night at bat, we did get to see a hell of a good throw in from left field – something that looks like is going to be his signature.

2. At the bar in New York where I was watching the Caps-Rangers game, there was a young girl decked out in Rangers gear watching with her dad. It reminded me of going to games with my dad, which made me smile.

3. I took tomorrow and Tuesday off to spend time with my sister while she’s in town. This counts as a beautiful thing for this week because it means I can sleep in tomorrow, the mere thought of which makes me slightly giddy. Or maybe that’s the exhaustion. But either way, I am so, so happy about it.

What’s been beautiful in your world this week?
