Samoas, Moon, and Visit

It’s Saturday, which is when I usually tell you about three beautiful things from the past week. I’ve decided to shake it up a bit, though, and this week, I’m going to show you instead.

The first of my Girl Scout Cookies arrived on Thursday.
The first of my Girl Scout Cookies arrived on Thursday. I met my former co-worker Margaret in a park near the office and exchanged cash for cookies - like a drug deal for grownups.
The tiny thumbnail moon and the blue late-dusk sky were gorgeous on (I think) Thursday evening.

My friend Alisa was visiting from Albany, so we met at Ethiopic for dinner.
My friend Alisa was visiting from Albany, so we met at Ethiopic (she's a huge fan of Ethiopian food, and it's the current "hot" place for that) for dinner. It was great to catch up and the food was fantastic!

What’s been beautiful in your world this week?

Update: Just realized I already shared that moon photo earlier this week. Apologies for not realizing before I hit publish. Had I done so, I would have shared this picture of this morning’s hot, fresh mini-donuts frying instead:

The insanely delicious fresh mini-donuts at Eastern Market, cooking away...

If you do not agree that hot, fresh mini-donuts are a beautiful thing, well, I am not sure I want to know you.

    My three beautiful things:

Your adorable nephew: totally perfected the art of flirting!

Your adorable nephew: totally ignored twin “granny’s” … 2x lovin!

A special 2-wk. visit with my best girlfriend, your Mom 😍

Feeding, changing, holding a newborn, rocking her to sleep.
Family 2-stepping (not cool when the kids sing Toby Keith walking into church, though).
Unlike prior years, each of the kids NO KIDDING WORKED for 2 hours today to feed 3,000 people!!! They did it joyfully! They want to do more…awesome.
