ID, Catching Up, and Sunny Saturday

Here’s a fact: blogging every day is not so easy – especially in a week when I was sick and mopey all the time. (Neither of which are particularly creative feelings.) I’m fairly certain the only thing worse than feeling like crap is reading my whining about it. So, sorry about that. But, Saturday is time for looking at three beautiful things from the past week, so here is me, grasping at straws:

1. I know I mentioned this before, but getting carded twice on Monday was definitely the high point of the week.

2. My office closed early on Friday for the holiday weekend, and I used the free hours to go to an early happy hour with a friend/coworker who I don’t get to hang out with enough. It was good to catch up – and it was the first time in ages I’ve had a well-poured Guinness.

3. I’m starting to feel better from this cold and it was sunny and warm today – two things that make for a pretty excellent Saturday.

What’s been beautiful in your world this week?

Greetings from unseasonably warm Dayton, Ohio. Our three beautiful things from this past week are
    1. Arriving in Dayton on Thursday to meet our sweet Goddaughter Catherine
    2. Watching David & James reacquaint and become super fast buddies
    3. Having time to do simple things like shop and cook with Amy – so much fun and such a rare treat these days!! (bonus that shopping included Trader Joes!)

    1. DH scored tix to THE hockey game, the “if-you-could-only-get-to-one-game-this-season-this-is-the-one-we-wanted” game. He could only get 2 tix, and despite a great effort from our oldest, DH wanted to take me to the Jets game. The crowd was amazing (there were busloads of folks from MB that started partying long before the border), our team was great in the 1st, 3rd, and overtime, but the shootout did not produce the desired result (ahem, no surprise). Super fun!
    2. After a couple weeks of extremely limited use, I can now straighten my arm.
    3. Tuesday night workout: I have never laughed so hard through so much of class! Remembering some of those antics still makes my eyes almost tear and I get a big grin.
