Ten years ago this week, I went to Mexico for the first time, on a week-long tour of the Sea of Cortez and the Copper Canyon. It was the last trip I took where all of my photos were analog – a few months later, when I went to Scotland, I borrowed my brother’s then state-of-the-art two megapixel (!) digital camera so I could shoot both film and digital. Fast forward to last week when I was in NYC, where I didn’t even bother with my digital camera. I took all my pictures on my iPhone, which has resolution four times better than that camera I borrowed for Scotland. Oh, how quickly technology has changed…
