If there is one thing in the world that’s a given, it’s that my mom hates birthdays. Her own birthdays, that is – she’s always happy and celebratory for everyone else’s.
And that’s why this post is a bit of a risk… Mom may not be thrilled with me for sharing this, but I feel like 11/11/11 is too cool a day to have a birthday on for it to go unmentioned. It’s not a landmark year of any sort, so I’ll leave that part off, and just say:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT FRAN!
(Yes, Mom’s an identical twin. You didn’t know that?)

And in other 11/11/11 birthday news:
My friend Jenna is celebrating, too, so go wish her a happy one… And my childhood friend Heather’s son wins the jackpot – he’s turning 11 today!
Happy Happy Birthday to a super special Mom & her sister!!!! I feel bad for dropping the ball yesterday…was yesterday’s Cracker Barrel an early treat? Xoxoxoxoxo
OMG — my pants were so AWFUL in that pic. Yuck!!
Anyway, I am finally glad to be alive & healthy. But, I really don’t like the center-of-attention type of birthdays. Outgrew that MANY years ago ;). Phone calls & flowers from my “kids”, lunches with best friends, cards & calls from my “grands” — that’s what really means a whole lot.
Now, if the lottery numbers tonight are a whole bunch of ONES and I didn’t buy a ticket, I’ll be the first in line to kick my B_ _ _ !!
Thanks, Sarah. I e-mailed my sibs at 11:11 a.m. knowing I’d never make the p.m.! (We really look pretty good for 88 😍 except for those pants, sister.) Dave actually told our waitress tonight that my B D was 11/11/11 … sadly, you could see her doing the math before she giggled.
P.S. Love the skirt.
Woohoo for 11/11 birthdays! Happiest of birthdays to your mom, aunt, and nephew. Was your nephew with all those kids on the Today Show yesterday? 😉
