I’m nearly out of Wednesday, but before I head off to bed I wanted to share the third and final childhood Halloween photo from my shoebox-o-pictures. (I have no doubt that there are many other costumed pix at my mom’s house, but these are the ones I have.)

I think this picture was from the fifth grade, which I believe was the last year I dressed up to go to school. I do remember being not just a nurse, but Florence Nightingale – hence the slightly old-timey look to the outfit. (Yes, I was already a history geek by the age of 10. I expect this is not surprising.)
I’m adding a bonus, totally not old photo to today’s post because it’s seriously the cutest thing I’ve ever seen – my nephew James, in his Halloween costume, in a pile of pumpkins. If you don’t find this adorable… Well, you have no soul. And I say that totally without auntie bias; science could prove the fact of its adorability.

v.cute giraffe!
Thanks! We think so, too!
1. CUTE!
2. Sarah, oldest said he was thinking of dressing as a hockey player for Halloween. We said he couldn’t because he IS a hockey player. So, now that you’ve had your class, you can’t dress as one either. 🙂
Oh, I think you dramatically misunderstand what I am learning in this class. I am merely in the first level of the hockey skating class. (I switched from just the regular adult basics track, which would eventually teach me how to spins and jumps, which I don’t care about.) Sticks and pucks come long, long after this. I am no more a hockey player than I am an astronaut!
J, on the other hand, is legit. I’ve seen his goal-scoring videos!
Oh, and of course I like the Nightingale outfit, too.
Thought you might. 🙂
CUTE nurse for sure, but TRUMPED by the cutest giraffe on the planet :). (grandma bias!!)
I remember that Florence Nightingale outfit!
That is a totally adorable pic of James!
