Tonight was my last baseball game of the season – the gray, rainy weather of the day cleared up into a lovely night for a game. Unfortunately, the Nationals did not pull off a win, but I did get to see one last home run (Jayson Werth), eat one last ballpark hotdog, and sing one last chorus of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” We even got a nice fireworks show on the way out.

It’s been a fun – if not all that winning – season, Nats. Better luck next year.

And now on to the real deal… My first Caps game of the season – albeit a preseason one – is Monday. I can hardly wait; I am so, so ready for some hockey! Go Caps!

What else would they sing? It’s a tradition!

Don’t take it hard…NHL preseason is largely about roster reduction.

Oh, I know. It’s why I want to bang my head on my desk when I see “Is it time to panic?” on Twitter. I have to sit on my hands to stop my self from replying “No! You’ll never see half these guys again. RELAX!”
