Friends, Air, and Om

A bonus beautiful thing: loads of delicious fruits and vegetables from the farmers' market.

It’s Saturday and – despite the fact that I haven’t been doing this regularly – it’s time to look back at three beautiful things from the past week.

1. I got to spend several days of low-key, quality time with my closest friends.

2. Getting to spend a day in the Adirondacks was even better than I had anticipated. There is something about the air in the mountains – and it’s wonderful, piney smell – that makes me so relaxed.

3. I took my first yoga class in about four years today. I was glad to discover that I do have some muscle memory for it – and that I still like it. Of course, I may not be able to walk tomorrow!

What’s been beautiful in your world this week?

    My TBTs:

1). Warm, sunny, restful summer days (sorry, some of ya!) Days to remember to help get us northerners through winter.
2). Bountiful farmers’ markets and awesome meals of FRESH garden goodies!
3). Quality days with friends = visiting, lunching, shopping (great new tote bag)! Including downtown “fest” with really cool jazz concerts!

Please excuse my hokey response but it is pretty heartfelt…

    1. Friends
    2. Friends
    3. Friends

To mirror Deb’s observation from Sunday, I am still amazed, yet not surprised, that despite our physical distances our friendships pick up as if we had just seen each other the day before. I truly have the best friends ever.

And an addendem….my daughter had quite the sleep-deprived meltdown on Tuesday but then followed with a sincere apology and a concerted effort this week to correct her behavior. She’s growing up. And while I wish I could keep her young forever, it fills me with pride to see that my parenting actually does pay off sometimes with moments like that!
