One of the things that’s been the most fun about writing my weekly Wayback Wednesday posts is the process of finding pictures, because I’ve come across some that I never realized I had. Take the one at right, for example. It goes perfectly with the one I posted a few weeks back on my sister’s birthday. I noted then that the photo was not likely our first meeting, but I didn’t really know for sure. This picture, however, confirms it, as it’s my brother and I dressed in our Sunday best on the day Eileen was born. Clearly, we’re all tricked out for our visit to the hospital.
And by “tricked out,” I’m obviously talking about that awesome poncho I’m wearing. I don’t remember owning it at all, but oh my goodness… It’s bigger than my dress! I look like I’m wearing an entire afghan.
And then there’s this picture, which I’m posting only because I cannot believe how fabulous my hair looks. I honestly have no idea when it was taken. Initially, I labeled it as being Eileen’s high school graduation, but upon reflection, I’m pretty sure I’d cut my hair by then. It was long my freshman year of college, but varying degrees of short (from chin-length to butchered) the rest of the time. I don’t think it was this long again until I was 25 or 26, but I can’t think of an event that tracks with that timing. And it had to be some sort of occasion, because in the 90s we didn’t just take photos of every passing day like we do now. (The dresses/sport coat give it away, too.)
So, do those of you who knew me when have any guesses as to when this might be?
