I don’t know why I woke up this morning thinking about this photo, but I knew it was the one I wanted to use for today’s Wayback Wednesday post. Only problem was, I couldn’t find it. I sent an email out to a few of my college friends, but to no avail. Finally, when I had just about decided I’d have to find something else, I remembered one last place to look – and there it was. Yippee!
This is my friend Marlene and I in costume for our roles in The Hostage, a play we did my senior year at Siena. Though I minored in theater, I did not act much (I was then, as I am now, a behind the scenes kind of gal), but this was an exception. As the outfits suggest, we were playing prostitutes, and I’m pretty sure I’ve never looked less like me than I did in that show – fake hair, fake boobs, a lifetime’s worth of makeup, and my ass pretty much hanging out. Top it all off with an atrocious Irish accent, and I made a reasonably convincing Belfast whore. Or so I told myself, since I couldn’t have gotten out on the stage otherwise.

I recognize one of those legs. Awesome picture!
The scary thing is, that was not fake hair for me, just spray painted gray.
And could I be wearing more blush? I don’t remember wearing so much blush!
I can’t believe you posted that picture! Haha.
Ah the things we did to promote the arts….
Pretty tarts ‘ye were
And still are! Pretty.
What a brilliant photo!
