Sunday Snapshots: 29 Innings

Four days, three baseball games, featuring two wins, one rain delay, two extra innings, one bobblehead emergency, and a sweet walk-off home run – not necessarily in that order.

A 90-minute rain delay may sound like a drag, but when spent with friends and beers, it's not so bad - especially since it dropped the temperature significantly AND the Nats hung on to the lead.
After a kind Phillies fan (I know, shocking!) took pity on my crying nephew and gave him his freebie bobblehead, we settled in to enjoy the game. It was a perfectly gorgeous night for baseball, and the Nats once again won, via a sweet three-run walk-off home run from Ryan Zimmerman.
Today was going to be the day I finally saw Stephen Strasburg pitch, but ended up on the DL and I once again got to see my fellow Siena alum, John Lannan. The game ultimately went 11 innings (several of which were quite drizzly) and ended up with a Phillies win.
