An Actual Conversation

At lunch today, my former roommate Wendy and I were discussing blogging and had the following exchange:

Wendy: I wish I could get more comments on my posts.

Me: Really? My family comments on everything. It’s like they can’t help themselves.*

Wendy: Do they know about my blog?

I’m pretty sure y’all do know about it, since it’s in the blogroll and I’ve linked to it about a thousand times, but if you don’t, it’s wendalicious.com. On yon blog, you will find all manner of food-related goodness, a few bits of extreme (also food-related) nastiness, and more about one woman’s love-hate relationship with cupcake bakeries than you ever imagined possible. Stop by and say hello. And I mean that pretty literally: I bragged on your commenting prowess, so don’t make a liar out of me.

* I said this with love and gratitude, I swear.

@Susan: On a cosmic level it counts, but it does not help my blog stats. πŸ™‚

Wow. Blatant product placement on Sarah’s blog.

Tee hee! I love my girlfriends. πŸ™‚

@Wendy…OK…on the non-cosmic level, I voted…I’m just too lazy to re-type my info so I can comment πŸ™‚
I already figured out my culinary skills are WAY below yours…I try to convince my family freezer jam is a huge undertaking in the kitchen πŸ™‚

Okay. I find this post funny cause if I’m being really honest, with everyone on vacation the last few weeks, I’ve been very unmotivated to write more cause I’m getting so few comments.

Then again, I’ve strongly considered that maybe my posts are boring.

Anyway, I’m glad Sarah is back and most of the traveling folks are getting closer to home. And I’ll try to write some more fun/interactive stuff. (I don’t want to be a one or two hit wonder, writing only about Little Man and James πŸ™‚
