If the counter on iTunes is correct, that’s the number of times I listened to “Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum today at work. Yes, you read that right. I listened to one song 40 times.

The funny thing is, before yesterday, I had never even heard of this song, or this band. But last night during the Grammys — which I didn’t even watch —  a couple of my friends were posting back and forth on Facebook about the awesomeness of their performance, and I was intrigued. On a whim, I downloaded the album from before I went to bed last night, and started listening to it on my commute this morning.

I was instantly hooked by the first track. Seriously. Can’t. Get. Enough. (I might be listening to it right this very minute.)

As for the rest of the album, overall, it’s pretty good, if a bit more country than my usual taste. I can tell it’s gonna grow on me, though.

And yet you don’t like The Dixie Chicks. Seriously, woman. You need help.

Yeah, I’m not understanding that at all.

I don’t know what to tell you guys. I’ve probably listened to the Dixie Chicks more than any other band I don’t like trying to figure out their appeal, and still… nothing. I don’t actually hate them anymore, though. I’ve at least upgraded to “meh.”
