64-73/365: An Extra-Long Week

So… I was thinking it might be easier for me to manage dealing with my Project 365 photos over the weekend, rather than during the week. I’m not sure that I’m right, because it’s 11:30 p.m. on Sunday and I’m just getting ready to post them now. Sigh.

I bought a new camera today, so that I’d have a reliable one for my trip to Jordan, which means that most of my pictures from the upcoming week may very well have an odd, getting-used-to-the-camera quality to them. It’s so cute and small, though (a Canon Elph), that it may replace the iPhone as my pocket camera.

March 5: I made my first visit to the very beautiful Lincoln Theatre on U Street for my friend's playwrighting competition.

March 6: On the way home on Friday, I realized I hadn't taken a picture for the day -- so I went with the exciting train-pulling-into-the-station shot.

March 9: One of the cool things about living in DC is that random parades and protests just seem to happen. This one was a Free Tibet march.

March 12: I finally took the skirt I started knitting in August out of hibernation, ripped out the 10 inches of bad, holey increases, and started again.

March 13: Bossman discovered that the pop-up variety of Post-It notes behave just like a Slinky. (Though it probably wouldn't "walk" down the stairs.)

March 14: I wandered around to the front side of the Columbus statue at Union Station for (as far as I can recall) the first time ever.

An interesting mix of photos; looks like your new camera is doing a good job! But, then again, it has a very imaginative & creative “button pusher” 🙂

Thanks, Mom, though this isn’t actually the new camera yet. I haven’t actually figured out how to do anything more advanced than turn it on. No photos have been taken…
