42/365: The Great Outdoors

We had an extraordinarily warm day today about 70 degrees), and instantly -- despite the fact that it hasn't been nice enough to eat outside in months -- every restaurant in Dupont had outdoor seating available.

I do hope you were able to “seize the day” — here it was gray but a balmy 58. Oernight has been extremely windy (they say 45-50 mph) with sporadic downpours. The snow/ice is mostly melted and ugly and the rivers are rising and raging AND as I write, the flakes are starting to come down again (9 a.m.)

Sarah, all I can say is “I’m very jealous.”

Oh, Aunt Mary! Sounds like we have interchangeable weather. Although this is an indicator of Spring eventually arriving up here (eventually is key, as it will not be nice for a couple of months yet), I do not like it and have not yet adjusted to the seasons as I grew up with them (thus the Sarah-envy).

And PS (from your grandsons): “This is the coolest Valentines EVER! I love my hotwheels!”

As we (or at least I) have developed some cain fever with all the germs about, THANK YOU for the rescue!!!!!

@ CL — and maybe the glycerine lollipops will be good for their throats. Sorry, I could not resist a couple of sweat treats too! And I had fun picking out those cool wheels — wish they were mine 🙂

    HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO EVERYONE!!!
