Remember how, on Monday, I ranted about the Springsteen-ticket snafu and my dislike for TicketMaster? Well, it turns out that it was a popular sentiment — and by that, I mean one that made me popular.
First, my post got a mention in an article on NJ.com. Then, it got picked for the daily round-up for local blogging aggregator DCBlogs. Yesterday, it took an even more surprising turn: I was contacted by a print reporter — an actual journalist — for an interview. Being the (perhaps not so) secret egomaniac that I am, of course I said yes.
The result? Today, I’m quoted in an LA Times story about the potential merger between TicketMaster and Live Nation. Wow! Yippee! Given that the point of this blog is mostly to keep family/friends apprised of what I’m doing, this is not something I would have expected.
Clearly, I am ridiculously excited. I know this is fundamentally uncool, and that I should be totally blasé, but I don’t care. LA-freaking-Times, baybee!
