22-31/365: Catching Up

Though I haven’t been keeping up with sharing them, I have been taking pictures for my photo-a-day project —  in fact, I only missed once in the non-posting dry spell, which I think is pretty good. So, in reverse order (starting with today) here is the rest of January.

My new glasses.

And had accumulated enough by the end of the day to cover all the grass. I even had to shovel the walk!
January 26 - evening: We had enough snow by the end of the day that I had to shovel the walk. (First time I've done that in years!)
The snow had started by the time I left for work.
January 26 - morning: Our... ahem... big snow storm had started by the time I left for work.
La Creuset #2 -- chili. I burned it to the bottom of the pot (badly) but it still cleaned up like a champ.

I finally took down my Christmas tree. It was a dried-up mess.

I spent all of Saturday catching up on all my chores. Here's my nice, clean sink.

The day after the inauguration, the building across from my office hung this banner. It took me two more days to notice it.

My street is lined with one less beautiful, old tree after the city's visit today.

    Like the new specs!

Regarding your opportunity to shovel snow…we were headed for a record: spending the entire month of January below freezing. Wouldn’t you know it- yesterday it was 36 and sunny and kids were outside in short sleeves (no coats). People got out their ice picks to clear the road drains so the melt had somewhere to go.

Keep up your project, if only to give you a reason to not get so bogged down at work that you miss some neat stuff!

    Like the glasses. Very hip.

I’ll be sure to send you pictures of our next snow storm! 😉 I hear that’s coming on Tuesday.
