19/365: Birthday Boy

Blowing out the candles on the cake. (Yes, it's a front-end loader cake, and it was even more amazing than it looks in this picture.)

Hats off to Mama for the AMAZING cake!!!!!! I can barely do a box mix. (Yes, it matters when they say blend and pour IMMEDIATELY into cake pan and bake. If you are short one egg and run to the store and back …5 minutes…the cake just ain’t right…)

HOW ON EARTH DID SHE DO THAT?????

That is truly remarkable!!! I think she needs to plan the parties for our kids (I heard about her party favors….oh my!) Your nephews will never need to feel the least bit awkward about not renting out the aquarium, zoo, etc….their mama ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

@ Susan: Also makes a difference if you have to add butter or oil, and which will survive the cake pan flip. Turns out, a friend of mine went to school w/ the lady that wrote that cake mix book (101 things to add or something like that to make “simple” box cakes exquisiste…like that BTS cake)

Jen does make AWESOME cakes — she has set herself on a course of “what am I going to do next time??” !! Declan told me this morning he did not want to cut it!! Don’t blame him a bit. At least she has from now to September to come up with a gem for Gav 🙂

Okay. Y’all realize the cake had “dirt” to scoop, which were crumbled up brownies? Thanks for setting the bar a little high, Jen!
