It’s Monday again — so soon after the last. (How does the weekend go so quickly?) Here are three beautiful things from the past week:
1. Hands down, my most beautiful thing of the week is the fact that my sister, brother-in-law, and his parents/grandma made it through Hurricane Ike unscathed beyond loss of electricity and minor property damage.
2. Coming in a close second is that my dear friend Joanne’s son arrived happy and healthy on Tuesday. Because of all the medical concerns at the end of her pregnancy, this wasn’t necessarily a given, so I am relieved and happy for her and her family.
3. On Friday, I had to work late to get some important hurricane-related info up on the website before the weekend, entirely missing jazz at the Sculpture Garden. Though I know from personal experience that our picnics there are large enough to constitute dinner, the friends I stood up all met me for pizza afterward anyway.
Honorable mention: my TBT thread has been added to the “Roll of Honour” at the original Three Beautiful Things blog.
