My DC: Basking (and Busking)

On nearly every nice day, Dupont Circle fills up with office dwellers basking in the sun with their lunches, playing frisbee, or just hanging out. It’s a great respite from being cooped up inside all day, and on unseasonably gorgeous days like we had this week, there is a great, giddy energy, like kids playing hooky from school. With the My DC project in mind, I snapped this shot of some guitarists busking by the fountain as I headed back to work after my turn at soaking up the sun on Tuesday.

Hmmm. I think these people are what brought back the cold and gloomy weather, as they insulted the winter weather gods by flaunting their warm weather preparedness.

    Or something like that.

    That’s it.

Nice picture. I haven’t been up to Dupont in quite a while. Great way to take advantage of the weather.

Nice Photo! These moments make winter tolerable. The rain & wind have moved on and the sun & blue sky are emerging here today, although we are back to “nippy” temps. But, we’ve had how many less days of winter?? Yeah!
