I head back to work tomorrow after my week of home-vacation, and I just cannot believe how quickly the time went. I feel like I got a lot done, but for every project I finished, I seem to have found another. It’s crazy really — I am one person living in a teeny-tiny apartment and yet I apparently have an endless stream of cleaning, organizing and such to do. I can’t even imagine the level of chaos I’d have to cope with with a husband and/or kids. Yikes.
I do feel a lot more sane and rested, though, so at least I managed that part of my week well. I’ve slept a fair bit, and have enough groceries laid in and cooking done to keep me fed for a while. I didn’t get to nearly as much knitting or reading as I had hoped (virtually none, in fact) but perhaps I’ll be able to pick up a bit more of that after work now that we’re moving into the season of long, indoor nights.
Off to bed. I’m hoping start off my post-vacation period right by getting back in the habit of making it to work by 9 or 9:30 (rather than 10 or 10:30), I and I think it’s going to require getting to sleep a bit earlier. But I really wanna see if the Sox win tonight… so turning over a new leaf may have to wait one more day.
