Wednesday Random Ten

Wednesday again, whereupon I play my iPod for a while and tell you what it pulls up. (So far five really, really random selections; things I am not sure I have ever listened to before. Maybe the bottom five will be my favorite tracks?)

  1. In a Future Age – Wilco
  2. Get Real Paid – Beck
  3. Satin Summer Nights, Cast Recording – The Capeman
  4. Working on the Highway – Joe Ely
  5. Window – Fiona Apple
  6. Leatherwing Bat – Peter, Paul, and Mary
  7. King, Belly
  8. Grace, U2
  9. Your Body is a Wonderland – John Mayer
  10. Vigilante Man – Hindu Love Gods

OK, it turns out that there is one of my all-time favorite songs in the second half of today’s ten. Shannon will be the first to identify it, I’m predicting.

    My random Wednesday ten:

Castles – Sandi Thom (I highly recommend her)
He Can Only Hold Her – Amy Winehouse
My, oh My – The Wreckers
    Lullaby – Dixie Chicks
    Bittersweet Symphony – The Verve
Hey Kind Friend – Indigo Girls
Silent All These Years – Tori Amos
    Turpentine – Brandi Carlile
One More Girl – The Wreckers

My MP3 player seems to be in a girl-friendly rut today (with the exception of The Verve of course)

Yup, Shannon. You got it on the first try. I knew you could do it.

I think Ms. Snapdragon wins the prize for the most hilarious transition — Disney soundtrack to Nirvana to Tchaikovsky. Did that make your brain hurt?

I knew the answer, too, just didn’t get online til now.
I thought for sure we’d see some AC/DC in there…

I wish I had an iPod, so I could waste time like the rest of you…

my last comment was actually serious, not sarcastic.

Wendy, you could do the same thing if you have music on your computer or if you have a multi-cd player that you could set to shuffle…
