Sorry, Baltimore

Stories like this one make make Nats fans feel better. We may have lost our last game, but at least it wasn’t by 27 points runs. Ouch.

You really pity whoever had the O’s pitcher in fantasy baseball…

The best part of this story is that this was Game 1 of a doubleheader! After getting humiliated they had to retake the field for Game 2 (which they also lost 7 to 9). Poor O’s!

As for the Nats, they are here in Houston this week (but we still haven’t managed to get to see them 😦 But I think they are going into game four of the series up 2-1. Go Nats!

(PS. Sis, why do the O’s get an apostrophe and the Nats don’t?)

Aren’t you glad that DC got its own team, instead of having to root for those guys? Yeeeeouch!!

    (Pssst, it’s RUNS, not points)

Yes, Shannon, runs. Of course. I will blame lack of sleep for that error.

Eileen, O’s gets an apostrophe because the AP style guide says so. It’s an exception to the general rule of plurals (Nats, Nationals, Orioles) not having one. I can only assume it is for visual ease (i.e. it’s easier to read O’s than Os).
