Wendesday Random Ten, Again

At dinner on Thursday, I was lamenting to sprite and randomduck that I was having a hard time coming up with posts lately and was wishing someone would post a meme I could copy. One of them reminded me that the Wednesday Random 10 could easily make a return, and given that it is, in fact, Wednesday and the post I was working on needs more revision than I can give it while at work, I am going to take that suggestion.

With apologies for two days in a row of not-very-original content, since Ms. P did read my mind and provide a meme for yesterday, here is this week’s random ten:

  1. Beautiful Day, U2
  2. Chickenman, Indigo Girls
  3. Follow, Brandi Carlile
  4. Devils & Dust, Bruce Springsteen
  5. Struttin’ Blues, The Black Crowes (I don’t think I have ever heard this song before. Why is it on my iPod?)
  6. Mercy, Sarah McLachlan
  7. Say Goodbye, Dave Matthews Band (Hm. Another mystifying selection.)
  8. Air, Original Broadway Cast, Hair
  9. Downtime, Backyard Tire Fire (Don’t know this one either, but at least it’s from a compilation I recognize.)
  10. Without a Trace, Soul Asylum

I’m thinking I may make this another regular feature. It’s kind of fun to do — and I hope to read (if for no other reason than you can mock my taste in music). Post list of your own in the comments!

OK, can I just point out the absurdity of iTunes? In my “Recommended for You” section, they say “Since you bought ‘Sing-alongs and Lullabies [by Jack Johnson], we recommend ‘Stadium Arcadium’ by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.” WHAT? How in the world does one lead to the other????
