Home, Dance, and Lights

It’s Saturday, so once again time to look back at three beautiful things from the past week:

1. Fourteen months after their house burned down, Eileen, Chris, and James finally moved into their new home.

2. While we were watching football on Thanksgiving, I asked my nephew G what his touchdown dance would look like. He immediately launched into something he called the “underpants dance,” which is hard to describe, but hilarious to watch.

3. I went to ZooLights at the National Zoo for the first time ever – but definitely not my last. I love festive holiday lights!

  1. The best part that happened to me this week is I moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress… Had been loyal to Blogger for more than 4 years but wanted to have more professional look to my blog… WordPress delivered what it promised… Just loving WordPress and finally getting an opportunity to check out so many bloggers and their posts… So technically, this is the best thing that happened to me over this week! :)

  2. Sticking to three things this week is hard.

1). Special (unexpected) time cuddling with my Grandsons D&G — the oldest of whom will soon be entering the anti-cuddling phase of his life :)
2). Being mostly a guest at my eldest daughter’s first Thanksgiving dinner (I had to handle, salt, & pepper the raw bird!) — which was fantastic, with a little grilling aid from her brother. A 60+ degree day in our area was a bonus too great to pass up and the grill beckoned.
3). Hearing my Grands (unprompted) add “thanks for my family” and “thanks for my Mommy and Daddy” to the dinner blessing. So cute!!
4). One more — ZooLights at the DC zoo. So very, very beautiful.
5). And last, but not least, hearing the happiness in Eileen & Chris’ voices from their new home.
