Today’s main attraction was a road trip with sprite out to Homestead Farms, where we both picked more apples than we probably need. I ended up with about 17 pounds, so I’m guessing there will be a fair amount of pie and applesauce in my immediate future. Yum!

We found a WONDERFUL family-run orchard this year. Organic apples. Our first bag weighed 17 pounds…and only cost $5. No coupon, no discount – just $5 per bag. We also planted a honey crisp tree this year, which wasn’t supposed to grow any apples this year. It didn’t read that clause and we got 3 apples off the tiniest of branches…yummy!
I have a nice recipe for Sour Cream Apple Pie if you run out of things to try.
I can eat anything you make if you run out of people to bake for!
Hey Sue…got some apple pan goody and 1 slice of apple pie left. You are free to eat them!
Shall I mail them or do you want to fly out? Tee hee
