Not-Wayback (at all) Wednesday: Miami!

After more than a week of the most absurdly awful cold I have ever had – seriously, I got better from the swine flu faster – I am finally starting to feel a bit better. Of course, the lingering effects of the cold are now merging with allergies, so I’m still sniffling and coughing; I just don’t know what the cause is anymore. But I do (at last) have enough energy to be functional, which is a nice change of pace.

I think in the whiniest phase of being sick, I may have led everyone I know to think that, because I got sick in Miami, on my birthday, the trip was a washout. Nothing, however, could be farther from the truth. I actually had a really great time – and I think my friends did too. While we had a little something planned for each day of the trip, we also left plenty of time for leisure, and spent a lot of time lounging in the sun and bumming around South Beach.

And so, rather than stepping into the wayback machine this week, I thought I’d share a few photos from the trip – just to prove that a sore throat and runny nose didn’t keep me down in Miami… though it most certainly did when I got home!

Oh, and in the event that the slideshow isn’t working for you, visit the Picasa album.

And I think I somehow caught your cold via your website. I’ve been sick as a dog for over a week now…uggg.

But it looks like you had a fabulous time in spite of it all. :)

  3. Great pics! I will need a copy of your itinerary, as I am dying to take a [non-work-related] trip to Miami this winter.

  4. Nice hair! I really like the pictures (in light of the snow this week :( ).
