My DC: Take That, WaPo!

I’m hopping on what seems (to me, at least) to be a very interesting bandwagon, posting a weekly photo of “my” DC, as opposed to the DC we all know and love from the nightly news. I heard about this from sprite, who picked it up from her friend Hillary, who originated the idea. The idea is to share images of what makes this city the place I love to call home.

My first photo is something I had already been contemplating for the blog — the current advertising campaign that has overtaken Metro Center. I’m fascinated by these ads, especially in the context that Metro Center is only a block or two from the Washington Post headquarters.

Take That, WaPo!

Overall, though, this represents one of the things I love about DC — that anyone with an axe to grind does it here, and often in ways that are much more creative than marching on the Mall.

  1. Thanks for joining me in my little project. I look forward to seeing how “your” DC differs from mine.

  2. That’s awesome…too bad there is nothing interesting about posting “My Albany” pictures.

Maybe on Lark Street….eh. Not so much.

  3. I’m looking forward to these postings — there is always more to anyplace than “news”. Keep ‘em coming!

  4. I’m just seeing this. I love it! Especially since I’m crazy camera girl these days. I wanna play!
